About NASLEF

The National Association of State and Local Equity Funds (NASLEF) is a non-profit trade association representing mission-driven, locally-engaged affordable housing investment providers. NASLEF is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program and Operations Coordinator to support its growing organization and expand collaboration opportunities for its members.

Job Summary

The Program and Operations Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and program support to the Executive Director and NASLEF's Board and committees. This role will be crucial in streamlining daily operations and fostering member engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position requires a blend of administrative expertise and interpersonal skills to effectively manage various tasks.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and materials.
  • Assist with event planning for major events such as the annual conference, leadership retreat, and receptions.
  • Coordinate program activities and schedules, ensuring all events run smoothly.
  • Manage calendars for program leaders, including scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, documentation, and data entry.
  • Serve as a personal assistant to program directors as needed.
  • Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Assist in organizing materials for meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support office management tasks to ensure a well-organized work environment.
  • Maintain AMS and Microsoft CRM systems, including data entry and updates.
  • Reconcile expense reports with the finance team.
  • Provide basic website maintenance and assist with special web projects.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures as needed.

Membership Development & Engagement:

  • Maintain NASLEF's membership database and respond to member inquiries.
  • Generate reports based on membership data.
  • Facilitate annual membership renewals.
  • Assist with maintaining the online Job Board and directories.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist with the publication of a quarterly newsletter.
  • Manage social media channels (primarily LinkedIn) to increase follower engagement.
  • Create basic graphics for social media, newsletter, and email communications.
  • Maintain a communication schedule for emails, newsletters, and LinkedIn.
  • Edit and distribute press releases.
  • Assist with data gathering for the annual report.
  • Coordinate hosting of webinars with partners.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles (association management a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM systems and Constant Contact or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design software (Canva preferred).
  • Familiarity with web content management.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
  • Professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.

Physical Requirements: The ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Travel Required: Minimal for occasional conferences or board meetings.

Location: Remote (Detroit area a plus)

Pay: $49,495.00 - $53,715.00 per year
